SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT

In the area of Safety, Health, Wellbeing, and Environment (SHE), MOT's policy is aimed at ensuring the safety and protection of the health of its employees, as well as preventing damage to the environment and property. Both our own staff and those of contractors working on our site have contributed significantly to achieving this objective.

Safety Passport:
Employees and contractors performing maintenance work are required to have a safety passport. This is one of the ways a large number of companies, united in the Deltalinqs advocacy group, ensure safety in the Rotterdam port and industrial area.

Safety and the Environment:
Safety and the environment are a prominent priority in both external and internal consultations. Regular constructive consultations also take place with the DCMR Environmental Protection Agency Rijnmond. Significant investments are made annually in the area of Safety and the Environment.

Continuous attention to safety and the environment contributes to the Maasvlakte Oil Terminal's harmony with the abundant natural environment found on the Maasvlakte. For example, many types of grass, protected flowers, and even orchids can be found on and around the terminal.

At MOT, safe and efficient work goes hand in hand with care for people and nature.

In recognition of the integration of care for nature and business operations, as well as the way the company grounds are maintained, MOT received the Horti Port Award in 1999.

The Horti Port Award is presented by the Municipal Port Authority to companies that distinguish themselves through the design and maintenance of their outdoor spaces.
